A mythical pass of the Tour de France!
The Joux-Plane pass, which has been climbed many times by the Tour de France riders, is still one of the most difficult mountain passes in the Alps, despite its reasonable length. The foot of the pass is steep from the start, and then the slope becomes very irregular, with a maximum gradient of 13%, at the place named “La Combe Emeru”. However the landscapes, with magnificent views of Mont Blanc, reward the efforts made! Warm up your calves on the surrounding roads before embarking on the slopes of this mythical pass!
